Walsh Middle School Principal Announcement
Dear Framingham Families:
I am pleased to announce that Beth Herrmann has been named the new Principal of Walsh Middle School.
An experienced educational leader with a deep-rooted history in the Framingham Public Schools, Ms. Herrmann has spent over two decades dedicated to the success and well-being of our students. Currently, she is serving as the Assistant Principal at Walsh Middle School, a role she has held since August 2013. Her leadership is defined by her commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school climate; indeed, she has been instrumental in leading the school’s MTSS team to coordinate student support and the PBIS team in developing school-wide CORE values. Her expertise in restorative intervention practices and the Engaging Schools Social-Emotional Curriculum has been vital in building strong relationships between students, staff, and families.
Prior to her leadership role at Walsh, Beth served as a Special Educator within Framingham Public Schools from 2001 to 2013. She holds a Certificate of Administration in Principal/Assistant Principal from Boston University, a Master of Science in Reading from the State University of Albany, and a Bachelor of Science in Special/Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo, which included a period of study abroad at Oxford University.
As we wish Principal Pat Johnson luck with his impending retirement, please join us in welcoming Beth Herrmann into her new role as she continues to lead Walsh Middle School toward educational excellence.
Very truly yours,
Bob Tremblay
Superintendent of Schools
